Formosa 3 is an offshore wind project planned off the coast of Changhua county on the central-western coast of Taiwan, jointly developed by Corio Generation and TotalEnergies.

On August 5th, the government announced the award of grid capacity to the Formosa 3 project through its Round 3.2 auction.

A spokesperson said: “We're pleased that Formosa 3 has been awarded capacity in the Round 3.2 grid connection allocation. While we recognise the currently challenging environment for the industry, we look forward to continuing to make progress on the project in cooperation with the government, the supply chain and community stakeholders.”
