In December 2019, the “Grid School & Talent Development Alliance”, which is set up by enterprises, research institutes and universities following the call from Industrial Technology Research Institute, announced the second list of its inaugural scholarship winners. Formosa 3 is one of the scholarship sponsors. Chuang Ming-lun and Chou Hung-chih, 2 students of National Cheng Kung University Department of Electrical Engineering, were the winners and received $NT30,000 as scholarship with their instructor receiving $NT10,000 as a teaching grant.
